Workflow & Ledger App

ARS Flows

Custom operating system designed to power a fast-moving equipment services operation supporting one of the world's most recognized brands. Technicians, admins, and the owner each get a purpose-built experience — four guided workflows with 19 steps that move jobs from intake through invoicing with full visibility at every stage. Built in 9 weeks on React, TypeScript, and Supabase. Still humming.

4 workflows, 19 guided steps 4 role-based dashboards 6-phase job lifecycle 3 distinct user roles 9-week initial build Phase 2 in progress
More about this project

One platform that gives every facility job a clear path — from the moment a work task is dispatched through final invoice. Phase 2 was blueprinted from real job data — 12 process documents from an actual project were reverse-engineered into swim lane diagrams, a 13-table data model, and screen-by-screen wireframes before a single line of code was written. The highest-value screen — a proposal builder with line-item management, auto-totals, and one-click PDF export — turns what used to take manual effort every time into something that flows in minutes.

Tech Training Platform

GMAC

Built for genuine mastery — the kind teams actually carry into the field. Two-sided training platform that turns dense technical knowledge into tablet-first microlearning, interactive 3D tools, and gamified quizzes frontline teams genuinely engage with. Role-based dashboards give managers clear visibility from individual performance up through store, district, area, and region.

50% → 96% knowledge scores 99% manager approval 95% feel more supported 23,400+ modules completed 300,000+ videos consumed 580+ stores
More about this project

Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and parts identification — transformed from binder-and-slide training into something people look forward to completing. Built to scale across every level of the organization while keeping the learning experience personal, fast, and genuinely useful.

"It's just so much better than any other digital training that our team has experienced."— Dillan J., ASM
Interactive Kiosk

Mack Truck Builder

A touch-screen kiosk built for museum floors — where real truck engineering becomes something kids and families can play with. Visitors configure every system and drive what they built. 60+ unique combinations, a real-time physics game loop, and a live leaderboard — built for the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, PA.

5 step guided experience 60+ truck configurations 4 truck classes STEM content in 4 disciplines 60fps real-time physics 10,000+ engaged kids
More about this project

The experience moves Home → Factory → Customize → Drive → Leaderboard — five screens that walk visitors through the same decisions a real Mack engineer faces. Axle count. Wheelbase. Engine size. Fuel type. Tires. Aerodynamics. Accessories. Paint. Graphics.

Every choice feeds a scoring formula that rewards fuel efficiency. So the best-engineered truck literally earns more time on the road. That's not a metaphor. That's the mechanic.

The driving game is where STEM becomes visceral. Speed is tap-controlled — but each tap costs points. Kids feel the connection between smart engineering and real-world performance before they've ever heard the word "aerodynamics."

Deployed at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, PA — the same city where Mack Trucks has built since 1905.

Native iOS App

SoBo

SoBo is a friendship-safe lending app — a friendly middleman between the lend and the ask. Every loan gets its own negotiation thread, status tracking, and gentle nudge system. Lenders get their stuff back. Borrowers don't carry the guilt.

Built for the generous ones who know the quiet cost of stuff that never comes back. Available on iOS & Google Play via React Native and Supabase.

iOS + Google Play 5 loan statuses tracked end-to-end 2-sided invite loop AI humor baked into every nudge Auto reminders sent for you Discover nearby items
More about this project

The origin is specific: a $450 trailer hitch lent to a friend, forgotten. Too awkward to bring up. SoBo was built from that moment — the invisible social tax that makes people quietly write off their stuff rather than deal with the ask.

The app doesn't track items. It absorbs the awkwardness so the relationship stays intact. Both lenders and borrowers move through a 5-status loan lifecycle — Pending, Active, Overdue, Returned, Canceled — with real-time conversation threads, before-and-after photos, and AI-timed nudges that land as friendly reminders, not debt collectors.

The invite loop is structural. Every loan creates a frictionless entry point for the borrower, turning each lend into organic distribution with zero ad spend.

A Discover screen lets neighbors browse publicly listed items nearby — a slow build toward community lending networks that scale beyond the friends-of-friends circle. The monetization arc follows: free tier to SoBo+ at $4.99/month to a full peer rental marketplace. One borrowed drill, a category-defining platform.

Launching April 20, 2026. Pre-seed raise in progress.

Who I Work With

I work with operations-driven businesses that are great at what they do, and ready for systems that match their ambition. The common thread isn't company size. It's real complexity, real stakes, and teams ready to operate at the level they're capable of.

"I don't think this ambitious new line of business would be possible without the software Brian built in an incredibly short time span. Everything came out better than I could have imagined."

Phil L. Lead Tech, Associated Restaurant Services

"Brian is an enthusiastic innovator and has created a training platform well suited for upskilling today's generation of employees — with excellent dashboards for management to monitor progress and identify areas of opportunity."

Matt Phillips District Manager, Starbucks

"Brian has a unique ability to build and lead highly effective teams. Whether developing immersive interactive experiences or overseeing the entire creative process, he brings a refreshing level of joy and dedication to every project."

Denis Aumiller Creative Director, LVMH

Trusted Collaborators

The best projects call for the right team. These are the collaborators I trust when the work needs more depth. I've worked alongside these teams for years — in some cases decades.

Development Pixouls
Video CVP
Marketing Creative Like

Together, we've built training platforms, consumer apps, interactive videos, and business systems that are still running today. I don't outsource. I collaborate selectively, and only with people whose work I'd gladly put my name on.

About Brian

I'm a designer who got obsessed with making things actually work.

0 years. 0 startups. Some took flight. Some became the foundation. Every one taught me something I still use.

I build two kinds of things: experiences people genuinely enjoy using, and systems that bring clarity to what's been running on sheer willpower. The best projects are both.

Based in Costa Rica. Grounded by yoga, art, and time in nature. Keeps the work sharp. Keeps the process human.

Earlier Chapter: The Agency Years

Before building apps, workflows, and training platforms from the jungle, I spent a decade building 4O1! Creative, an interactive agency I started with my college roommate and best friend, Curtis Johnson. What began small grew into an award-winning team of a dozen and was acquired in year eight by Hammer.net. We built digital tools and experiences for small brands we believed in and some big ones too, including Mack Trucks, Olympus, and the YWCA. That chapter sharpened the skills I still lean on today: strategy, storytelling, product vision, team leadership, and building things people actually enjoy using.
